Black Sand Beach?

Hello! This is a continuous post from my last blogpost about : Day 1 Langkawi, if you haven't read it you can check it out. (: so for the second day in Langkawi, we decided to go to a few places so we were wondering how we can get around the whole island and luckily there's this cab driver that offered his service at RM150 for about 4 -5 hours ride around the whole island.

So the first location that we went is Eagle Square, it's one of the famous tourist attraction in Langkawi. So apparently there's this huge Eagle in the square area, it's so huge and quite a stunning view. Just that the sun was too bright that day which make photo-taking troublesome.

So we stayed around the area for about 20-30 minutes before leaving for Safari Park, so we went there to look around to decide whether or not we want to take the tour but it cost about RM250 / person for a short tour so we decided against it and went for lunch at a Mangravoes Fish Farm.

The whole restaurant is empty because it's now off-season tourist time and the ambience of the restaurant is so good. We ordered hella lots of food here:

Fried Prawn & Tom Yum Soup

Seafood Fried Rice

Fried Squid

In total, the whole meal costs about RM70 plus we ordered 3 ice lemon tea (Langkawi Ice Lemon Tea, have a very different taste from any lemon tea I tried before it has a little bit of mint in it and it's 100% home-made- super delicious) .

After lunch we went to the Tanjong Rhu Beach, we didn't do much things around there but we goof around and stay there for about 20-30 minutes for some photo taking. It was so fun filming videos and taking photos under the hot sun while laughing our ass off cause it's so funny while we try to take the couple photo with the self timer. But luckily the photo turn out well.

The Black Sand Beach, it's like so amazing! The whole beach area have like black sand but it's not dirt, it's actually like clean black sand so we ask the guide about why the sand is black then he say there's a myth about a princess and a monster that lead to the sand becoming black??

We stayed at the beach area for about 10-20 minutes, since there's nothing much to do there except for seeing the view and exploring the black sand.

After that we took the trip to the supermarket to get some snacks, drinks and fruits. Then we head back to the hotel for some delicious hotel food by the pool side, I ordered the spaghetti RM 18 and he ordered the steak RM 22 ( the steak wasn't really that good) .

Can you believe it ? This is taken by the poolside of our hotel, it's really beautiful since it's by the seaside so this photo look as if the poolside and the sea is joint as one. As the sky turn darker, it turns into a beautiful shades of pink and blue (like a marshmallow) and we are both so taken away by the beauty of it.

That's all for our second day, Langkawi is a truly beautiful place to chill and enjoy the views along with the good food. I'm still day-dreaming about the beautiful pink evening sky that I saw few days back, till then.

Thank you for reading, happy Monday.

  3. Wow, so many photos! That eagle does look cool and I think your denim shorts are cute! You have a great body. For the black sand, I haven't heard of the myth before, but I would imagine it was to do with some very large black rocks in the ocean which broke down into the grains of sand?
