Penang Day 1 x 2

" I haven't been everywhere but it's on my list"

Day 1: (For more interesting stuff, skip to Day 2)

So we decided to go to Penang for 6 days 5 nights before the new school-term start, it was a sudden impulse decision right before new year eve- we got everything done up, air ticket- hotels- planning out the location to go. Then we are ready to jet off on the 4th of Jan, our flight was arrived in Penang around 8pm due to the delay so we got on a cab which costs (RM 54.50) , the ride to the hotel took about 35-40 minutes which is pretty long.

After checking-in, we roam around the hotel area and we settled on Spaghetti x chicken chop in a western restaurant for dinner. The ambience of the restaurant was perfect, with so much greenery and candles. That pretty much sum up our first day.

Day 2: Love Lane - China House - Street Art - Dinner

Day 2 was super enjoyable, we went to tons of different location and discover lots of new stuff. So I have a lists of places I want to visit, we took mainly GrabCar over at Penang since it's safer and easier to navigate around in the town area, the ride mainly costs around RM5- RM 25 for each ride- depending on the distance between each place.

Our first location was the Love Lane Hotel (Jalan Love Lane), it's on my to-go list since I read reviews about the unique design of the hotel so I thought to pop-by and have a look! It's free to visit and the personnel working at the hotel is lovely enough to let us in to snap some photos,  it's located along the Street of Georgetown and it's definitely worth the visit (it's somewhat like a theme hotel but the decorations is just too beautiful) .

ChinaHouse

Next stop, we walk around the Love Lane area after the visit to the hotel and we chance upon ChinaHouse which is another café that I wanna visit. We decided to have high-tea over at the place, I love their pastries despite not been able to eat tons of that due to allergic- the ambience is lovely, the staff are friendly as well and it's a great place to chill x cool-down since the weather can get a little out of control. At the ChinaHouse, there's a gallery upstairs with some interesting artworks.

Street-Art

Georgetown, Penang- is also famous for their street-arts (there are just so many of that and you can see them along the way when you are walking around the town area) so it's highly recommended to be walking on foot rather than driving around to be able to chance upon more street-art. On the first-day we randomly chance upon a few and all of them just look super insta-worthy but apparently there's map that pin-point the exact location of street art that's given to us by a Grab Car's driver as a gift so we used that as a guide for the next few days.

Dinner - Pang Hanain Seafood Restaurant

We had our dinner over at a seafood restaurant which I research about before visiting but we arrive a little too early so we stopped by Tesco for some snacks and looking around before getting back to the restaurant for dinner. The food wasn't as great as I thought, we had prawns x veggie x scallop x fresh oyster for about RM 150, the best food there out of everything would be the fresh oyster that cost about RM 8 each however the scallop is  too tiny and I would definitely not recommend it for RM 32 for that dish. Overall, it's not bad.

This sum-up our first x second day in Penang, we ordered Dominos pizza and some room services food during the night-time as supper since we still felt so famish.

We also pop-by the convenience store for some alcohols to end off the tiring-day, this 2 days give us an idea of how we are gonna get around Penang in the next few days. Day 3 x 4 will be going up on a post in a bit and I still editing the video-footage for this trip which will probably be up soon as well, thank you for reading x

Have a lovely day!
