Floral x Floral : How to plan for a trip

I love floral crown, it's just so beautiful! I gotten my one and only floral crown from cotton on for $9 only. Super cheap and nice, the high waisted shorts I wore actually have daisy floral prints so I decided to pair it up to create this Floral x Floral looks!

Have you guys tried to mix floral with floral ? How did it go? (:

-Planning for a trip-

Let's talk about planning for a trip! The only big thing I have plan by myself will be planning an outings with friends and I am not really good in planning stuff but during the weekend I'm going overseas with my cutie pie and over the past few weeks we have been planning about it, so I have learn a thing or two so I'd like to share!

1) Research + More Research

Before choosing the country you want to go, it'll be nice to do some research about the place to see if there are any interesting thing you wanna do and make sure it's the country you actually wants to go and within the budget.

2) Booking Tickets

Using google or any search engine, there will be lots of booking website to chose from which meant there will also be lots of good deals to hunt for.

To save money on tickets, it'll be nice to get those discounted ones or get tickets at a lower prices. It's okay to spend long hours at it cause saving money on tickets actually means more money to spend on the trips itself.

3) Location , Location.

So now you have the tickets, it's not yet done! Time to pick the prime location to go, you can find this kind of things easily on the internet but it'll be better to read reviews on blogs and judge for yourself which location will be worth going.

Usually, I'll read more than a few blogs before making a list of where to go and I'll also check the prices to make sure it's affordable.

4) Scheduling

With the whole list of location in mind, there will always be situation in which there are not enough time for everything. In order to avoids the dissappointment during the trip, it'll be good to do scheduling by listing the most important activities to do to the list and make a schedule or timeline.

And in cases where you realized there isn't enough time for it, eliminate those unwanted activities.

5) Outfit : Looking Fabulous

For Outfit freak like me, I'll always plan my outfit ahead if not I'll panic like crazy or I'll be stuck in the toilet for an hour or more and that won't be nice for the trip!

So I'll pack a few outfits depending on how many days I'm going to make sure I can get nice outfit shots and look great in photos when I'm overseas!

6) Exchanging Money: Budgeting

This is the most important step, to create the right budget and amount of money to exchange. For people that doesn't like to carry much cash around, it'll just be a balance of cash vs Visa cards.

7) Ready to gooooo, just remember to wake up for the flight and have lots of fun!

Gotten the cutest poncho ever from Topshop, a gift from my friend! It's absolutely the most adorable thing ever, when I first saw the poncho I couldn't keep my hands off it.

Now I hope that it'll rain more often so I can get to wear this poncho!

The Twinees shop have a lot of different design of drawstring bag, I got to chose one from them so I ended up choosing the cheese drawstring bag cause I think the color looks attractive and the cheese design just look so yummy!!!

Mixin it up

Top: Blogshop
Bottom: Forever 21
Shoes: Blogshop
Bag: Prada
Gotten this floaty top during one of my online shopping splurge, it's a bit oversized so I gotta do something about it to prevent it from falling all over the place. I love the cut out detail at the shoulder area, it's like showing the right amount of skins without going overboard.

Let's talk about smoothies and juice bar. I think sometimes we consumed too little vitamins or imbalance amount of nutrients, the only way we can replenish it will be through our diet or some vitamins pills.

But to make it interesting, I think drinking mixed fruit smoothies is the best ever. I came across this store at Pasarbella that sold mixed smoothies so I can get to chose which fruits I want to put inside and it's really fun to be your own chef.

My smoothies blend: strawberry, mixed berries, coconut, banana. It sounds super weird but trust me it doesn't taste weird and in fact I think it taste heavenly with the addition of coconut (Y) !

So are you guys a fans of smoothies? YAY or NAH.

Black X White Foodie

Top: Forever 21
Bottom: H&M
Beanie: Cotton On

Discovered this cute beanie in my closet that's being forgotten for quite awhile now and decided to style it up with a black x white outfit. Both the top and bottom of the outfit are in lace design which makes it interesting to play around with the design.

Anyway, yesterday I went to this Korean restaurent "Manbok" for brunch. The food there are simply delicious and affordable~ we ordered the Beef Bulgogi and Kimchi Fish Soup. It's more than enough for 2 and I'll definitely go back and visit the shop again.

OOTD: Vintage Urban Mix

Outerwear: Uniqlo
Top: Blogshop
Pants: BraceletCandy

Featuring my #OOTD, stay-home weekend kind of week. Being heading out too much so decided to be a good girl and wear comfy clothing for stay-in weekend. I think it's important to wear sunscreen whenever you're even if it's just a stay-home kind of day, so that day I ran out of sunscreen and decided to come up with an outfit that cover almost 3/4 of my body.

So what do you think about the outfit?

OOTD: Sweet Story

Top: Sweet Story
Bottom: Forever 21
Outerwear: Cotton On
Hat: Hater

Not a big fan of T-Shirt but this shirt suits me perfectly cause it's a T-Shirt but with sleeves cut off at the side. I think this design is adorable and it isn't very loose fitting.

Recently, school has even extra chaotic and stressful cause I just realized there are 2 major exams coming up and it's important that I don't flunk it so I have been trying to study 10% harder but it's been so long since I last had exam (probably last year) my head literally felt like it's gonna burst!

In order to relive stress, I went to trampoline park with my best friend! The one that we went to was at :

Jurong East Ave 1 , it cost $16 per hour and we had to buy socks there which cost $3! (: so if you want to save cost, do bring along your own socks!

After bouncing inside for like half an hour, I was nearly out of breath cause I'm such a lousy jumper like I can literally jump and fall down but it doesn't hurt a bit which was good!

Do check out the trampoline park video on my Instagram : @birdieliau

Overall, I think it's the best exercise for me to sweat and relieve stress! Have you guys try the trampoline park yet?

What do you think about the outfit?

Lifestyle: Kampong Glam Trip

Next stop: Kampong Glam

Decided to go for something a little different this time, Kampong Glam. The last time I am there was when I was 11 years old which was a long time ago, I decided to go there again to see to take nice photos and see the changes. Not to mention, it's the perfect place to date!

There are lots of small little store selling traditional toys and cultural stuff, super vintage like. Wee, I had a really nice time playing with the toys and be a kid for a day!

By walking around, we discovered this store with a vintage photography area with the cool motorbike.

During the time we went to Kampong Glam, there are lots of street food around but I didn't get to try it! But we decided to try out their Middle East food and I absolutely love it (: , trying out new cuisine and eat interesting food!!

Super delicious and yummy, the price is pretty reasonable too cause their food portion is pretty huge and I took awhile to actually finish the food.

We also found this really vintage swing and it bring back childhood memories and I had a really fun time playing around with it. It's around the end street area of the kampong glam and it's the campaign of #PublicSG , really love stuff like this!

M

How to go Kampong Glam:
1) Take Cab, we tried to took a cab but the taxi driver was a little lost so he put us down at somewhere near Bugis area so we gotta walk all the way there.

2) Take Mrt to Bugis Mrt Station, walk to Arab Street!

OOTD: White x White

Top: Tribal Tank Top
Bottom: White Fluffy Skirt
Shoes: Tribal Shoes
Bag: MCM

Decided to try on White x White cause white will always be my favorite color. It's like the best color to go with any design, it's also perfect for the summer weather to shine and soak in the sun.
The lovely tribal prints on the top also brings out a simple feel to complete the look I pair it with the tribal shoes with bling bling feathery design to match the whole outfit.

Currently, I'm still schooling and for my university term there isn't any summer break so I'm trying to maintain between having school and fun without flunking my assignments and exams. For this month, I have visited a few interesting places around Singapore and I absolutely understand the fun of being a tourist in a country you lived in for years.

It break the normal routine of shopping, movie or just cafe hopping but instead going for an impromptu and adventurous outing will always be much more fun. Will update more about my trip in my next few updates.

Thank you for taking your time to read my blogpost(: also do follow me on Instagram @birdieliau , I'll follow back if you leave your username down!

The wonders of beauty

MegRhythm Steam Eye Mask

Sponsored: Sample Store & MegRhythm

This is like one of the best beauty product I have got to review about, it's like a self-heated eye mask. Once you open and put it on, it'll gradually rises up to 40 degree but it won't burn the eyes instead it's super smoothing and let the eyes relax after a long day. I was super excited to try it on, I put it throughout the whole night and it actually made me sleep better and woke up with brighter eyes.

The eye mask heats up slowly, giving me a relax and warm feeling that's perfect for healing my eyes.

Especially after a long days in school or going out cause I tend to be on my phone 24/7 or using my computer, with all that it actually strain my eyes so it's really wonderful to find something to heal my eyes when I'm sleeping.
The mask comes in this really cute design, carefully wrapped in the packet to maintain the cleanliness and quality. (: and each eye mask can only be use once which is disposable easy to bring along for overseas traveling.

It comes in 4 different boxes, with different flavoring.

1) Camomile
2) Lavender
3) No Scent
4) Rose

This allows me to chose the scent that I'm most comfortable with (:

This is a photo showing how the mask gradually heats up and water droplets are capture in the glass which I still find it super fascinating how it can actually heats up on its own.

OOTD: Blown Away + DIY Post

Kimono: Forever 21
Top: Berksha
Bottom: BlogShops
Shoes: Stylenanda
Sunglasses: Cotton On

A very simple outfit for dinner date, especially love the kimono design and material. Super suitable for the summer theme, with the pale colors and feathery light design. Summer tends to be the season where you just want to wear as little as possible to avoid the heat but I still wanna look decent at the same time so the kimono will be the best add-on to my whole look.

So if you're looking for something light but colorful this summer, kimono will be the best outerwear for you!

-BIRDIE'S DIY TIME-

So I was really bored the other day while studying with my friends, blame my short attention span. I decided to get this loom look band pack, it only cost SGD 4 for the pack inclusive of the kit.

I had a really hard time trying to make this thing cause it doesn't come with a instruction so you can totally imagine how panicky I was when I saw this packet full of rubber bands.

But eventually I figured it out with the help of YouTube videos! If you're having trouble making, do check out YouTube videos on how to make them! It's super easy(:

I make like 5 of this and gave my friends some of it (: . It's super affordable, cute and best gift for your friends and family cause it's handmade!

Have you guys try to make something lie that before too?
